We’ve focussed on improving various aspects of the service recently. We’ve added the ability for users to search for brand new users (which is counter-intuitive as they do not have photos yet by definition), tagged those users as new for their first few days and added (mobile only) the ability to search profiles by text.
The combination is really working…..the number of messages a new user sends in their first 48 hours (obviously a crucial time for us) has gone up by 44% compared with March and April. This kind of improvement drives lot of other numbers (like retention) and is really rewarding to see.
