Avi Azulai is the co-founder & was Group Managing Director of iTouch Plc. until March 2005. iTouch was a public listed company on the LSE (ITU.L) that focuses on providing information & entertainment to mobile users in 20+ countries. In 2004 iTouch had 350 staff and annual turnover of approximately £78m and £8 million (EBITDA) profit. iTouch is one of the top 3 leading mobile services providers in Europe. iTouch was purchased by For-side.com (Japan) for £180 million in May 2005.

Avi is currently chairman of two venture backed businesses; Handmade Mobile and Blackbay (backed by Close Ventures Managers).

Prior to iTouch, Avi has held a number of positions in the information technology and online information systems industries. He co-designed the Minitel for the South African market. Avi holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and has completed a Diploma in Management.

Mark Curtis

Mark was previously a partner at Fjord, building cross platform and mobile products for Nokia & Orange. Prior to that he was a global EVP for Razorfish responsible for 1500 staff. Together with a partner, he set up CHBi in 1994 to develop interactive technology solutions for marketing clients; by 1998 it was one of the top 3 new media agencies in London and was acquired by Razorfish.He has a strong track record in media innovation (for clients such as Yell, RAC & Allied Domecq). Prior to becoming involved in digital media, Mark had set up Curtis Hoy, a successful media promotion company which spearheaded the use of radio for sales promotion in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.

He is also the author of Distraction – Being Human in the Digital Age (Futuretext 2005).

Ivan Farneti

Ivan Farneti focuses on software and internet investments for Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures. He is a member of the board of directors of various companies in the Doughty Hanson portfolio including, Gomez Inc., Handmade Mobile Entertainment Ltd., Mobango Ltd, Fenestrae BV, Plazes AG, and Tridion BV and he is a Board observer for Garlik Ltd.Prior to Doughty Hanson Ivan was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank Venture Capital in London and prior to that a senior associate at Bain & Co in Italy.

Ivan holds a degree in Business Management from Bocconi University in Milan, a degree from ESSEC in Paris and an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks fluent Italian, English, French and Spanish.

Jerry Ennis is an entrepreneur and venture capital investor. He co-led the investment by Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures and has been working with the board and management of Handmade since 2005. His investment experience covers fixed and mobile communications, internet, mobile entertainment, new media and social networking/social media.

Before becoming a VC Jerry worked in various roles in the communications industry, where he gained significant international experience. His last venture-capital backed business was sold to Telcordia Technologies, a major US telecoms technology business.

Jerry is currently pursuing new opportunities in technology investing and entrepreneurship. He is a Board Member of Adaptive Mobile Ltd and Founder of Transept Technologies Limited.

Anthony Clarke is Managing Director of Seraphim Capital, London Business Angels (with 200 investor members) and the DTI-backed London Seed Capital (Early Growth) Fund. He is also Chairman of BBAA (British Business Angels Association), President of EBAN (European Business Angel Network) and a Qualified Chartered Accountant.

Andrew Falcon is a Non-Executive Investor Director on the Board and represents Seraphim Capital, a VC investor. He is currently Chief Operating Officer at Fjord, a digital design consultancy, having previously been Chief Operating Officer for 8 years at iTouch, the public listed (LSE) company that provided information and entertainment services to mobile users in 20+ countries before selling to For-side (Japan) for £180m. He later assisted the founders in the management buy-out of iTouch from For-side and subsequent sale to, and integration with, Buongiorno (Italy).

Prior to iTouch, Andrew worked in investment banking and mining companies in South Africa and London. He holds a B.Comm and and LLB degree.
